The Cascade Township Board meets the second Monday of each month at 6:00 PM at Cascade Town Hall, 2025 75th Street NE, Rochester, MN 55906  (located at the corner of Hwy 63 and 75th Street NE).  Phone number is (507) 282-6678.

The Planning Commission meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the same location but only as needed.

Spring Road Work Update

Spring road work is right around the corner.  We would like to update you as information becomes available regarding the scheduled maintenance to the Cascade Township roads.  We will make a strong effort to make you aware of any inconveniences you may face.  Please note that the weather can impact the projected dates.  Contact Road Maintenance Supervisor, Mark Cochran, with any questions.

The new West River Road to 41st Street will be open and the old portion will be closed beginning the week of June 10.


Beginning Tuesday, May 30 at 6:00am paving will begin on:

68th Street NW, Sagewood Court NW, Autumn Court NW 


 Further work beginning approximately the end of June

7th Street NW

This will involve ditch and culvert work with minimal effect on traffic

Impacting Cameron Drive NW, Coventry Lane NW, Carrington Lane NW, Carlisle Lane NW, and Chelsea Lane NW


Completion date of September 1

55th Street NE

Base was put down on May 25.  Further work will be completed by September 1.

Update on the Cascade Township Lawsuit

A decision was given to us on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, regarding the trial court’s ruling.  The trial court denied all motions so that this matter will need to be determined by trial.  Cascade Board is pursuing mediation in the case.

*** Road Right of Way Notice***

Cascade Township wishes to remind residents that plantings and landscaping must be kept out of the township road right of way. These right of ways and the road ditches are the drainage for storm water and must be kept free of plantings and blockages in order to help prevent damage to our roads and personal property. If you are not sure where the road right of way is, please contact a board member for assistance.
